Simulations and Games for Math - One Stop Shopping!

The 7th grade math teachers at IMMS, Jodi Price and Mary Evans, have been using a website with their students to simulate rolling dice for probability. The website is called Maths and offers a plethora of simulations and games to use in a math or science class. Students can create their own word searches, concentration games, or even play hangman.  This website has been linked on the district Symbaloo under Applying>Simulations.

Here is a quick sample of rolling the dice. The web app shows the different rolls on the right hand side while counting the rolls for the students at the top. What a great way to practice probability without having the dice flying all over the room!

  1. Great job to the IMMS 7th grade math duo - Price and Evans! I remember teaching with dice, and after a few minutes, the noise could drive a teacher crazy. Love the application of technology...
